Below is an excerpt of The 2021 National Junior Olympic Championships Guidelines of Participation. Please read and comply with the protocol.
This does not mention about spectators’ COVID status, but we request everyone who are going to JO to be prepared to show proof of a negative COVID test or verification of full vaccination to avoid any inconvenience.
- Athletes will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test or verification of full vaccination within 7 days of their competition date during the 2021 Junior Olympic Championship in order to compete. No tests dated earlier then July 19, 2021 will be accepted.
- PCR tests are the only tests accepted; Antigen tests not accepted.
- Spectator and athletes are asked to arrive no more than 120 minutes prior to the start time of their event and leave following the completion of their event to assist with social distance and stadium occupancy number.
USATF REMAINS COMMITTED TO THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL INVOLVED IN THE 2021 USATF NATIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPIC TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP AND ALL COVID-19 PROTOCOLS WILL BE ENFORCED.
For the week of July 9 to July 15, Florida Health Department reported:
COVID-19 new case positive rate of 11.5% for the entire state of Florida
COVID-19 new case positive rate of 21.9% for Duvall County.
